What Cloudbet Is, and Who It Suits

Cloudbet launched in 2013, which makes it one of the oldest crypto sportsbooks still operating. That longevity matters in a sector where most brands are three years old and run on a rented platform. Cloudbet built its own.

The proposition is straightforward: you deposit cryptocurrency, you bet on sport or play casino games, and you withdraw in crypto — usually very fast, within three minutes of placing your request. There is limited fiat support (credit and debit card deposits), but the platform is crypto-first and the experience reflects that.

It suits you if you already hold crypto, you want payouts measured in minutes rather than days, and you bet on leagues that mainstream books cover thinly. It also suits high-stakes bettors, since Cloudbet advertises no maximum bet limits on many markets.

It does not suit you if you want to deposit with a debit card or bank transfer, if you live in one of the many restricted countries, or if you want the protection of a regulator in your own jurisdiction. That last point is the single most important thing in this review, and we come back to it properly below.

Crypto Sportsbooks: What You Gain and What You Give Up

If you have only ever used a mainstream bookmaker, the trade is worth understanding before you deposit anything.

What you gain. Withdrawals settle on a blockchain rather than through a banking rail, so they clear in minutes rather than days. Margins tend to be thinner, because crypto books run leaner and compete on price. Limits are usually higher. Account restrictions for winning are less common than at recreational fiat books.

What you give up. A Curaçao licence is not a UK, Irish, Swedish or Spanish licence. In a dispute you have no domestic regulator to complain to and no statutory deposit protection. You also carry price exposure: money sitting in a Bitcoin balance between settlement and withdrawal moves with the market, and that movement can be larger than your edge on the bet.

Neither of these is a reason to avoid crypto books. They are reasons to size your balance sensibly and withdraw regularly rather than treating a sportsbook wallet as storage.

The Football Product

This is the part of the review we spent the most time on, because it is the part most reviews skip.

Plenty of sites have run margin checks on Cloudbet’s Premier League and Champions League prices. The findings cluster around 5 to 6 percent on 1X2 markets, which is competitive. We have no reason to dispute that, and we don’t think repeating it is useful to you.

What nobody tests is what happens further down. If you bet the Championship, the Eredivisie, the Superliga or the Allsvenskan, the top-flight numbers tell you very little. Margins widen as you go down the pyramid at almost every book. The question is how far, and how quickly.

Margin comparison

Comparing against Pinnacle matters because Pinnacle is the reference point for low-margin pricing. Comparing against a mainstream book matters because that is what most readers are actually switching from.

Bet Builder

Cloudbet’s same-game parlay tool launched in July 2025. It lets you combine two or more markets from one fixture, with pricing that updates as you add legs. The thing worth checking is whether it is available on the secondary leagues where a tips audience actually operates, or whether it is a top-flight-only feature. Operator materials list the Premier League, NBA, NFL, ATP tennis and cricket, which suggests the latter.

Signing Up, Verification and Depositing

Cloudbet operates a tiered system. Unverified accounts have a cumulative deposit cap of USD 2,200. Once you pass it, verification is required to deposit further. Fully verified accounts have no deposit ceiling. Signup is quick and offered via email, Google, Apple, X, Telegram, GitHub or a crypto wallet.

Cloudbet sign-up screen: 'Join the Club' with Google, password, Apple, X, Telegram and GitHub options, plus email/password fields and an optional promo code.
Cloudbet’s sign-up screen — register with email, a crypto wallet, or one of six social/login providers, with an optional promo code field.

What we would advise you not to assume: that the $2,200 figure is a floor below which you will never be asked for documents. Complaint records include players asked to verify on withdrawals well under that threshold — in at least one case on a balance of a few hundred dollars. Verification at Cloudbet is discretionary and can be triggered at any level, for reasons the operator does not have to explain. Plan for it: have your ID and proof of address ready before you deposit, not after you have won.

Withdrawals, Fees and Speed

Cloudbet’s headline claim is that 90 percent of withdrawals complete in under two minutes, with a lifetime withdrawal count published live on the homepage. Operator materials give a slightly more conservative figure of typically under 10 minutes.

There is a step between requesting and receiving that is easy to miss: you must confirm the withdrawal by email before it processes. If you request a payout and don’t check your inbox, nothing happens. This is a sensible security measure and a genuine friction point, and it accounts for some of the “my withdrawal is stuck” reports you’ll find online.

Network choice matters more than the platform here. A Solana or Tron withdrawal will clear faster than a Bitcoin one regardless of how quickly Cloudbet approves it. If speed is your priority, pick the network accordingly.

Rewards and the Welcome Package

Cloudbet replaced its old matched-bonus system with a cash rewards programme, and this is one of the genuinely better things about the platform.

How it works. You earn rakeback on every bet you place, win or lose. Rakeback is a share of the house edge returned to you as cash. It lands in your wallet as withdrawable balance with no wagering requirement attached.

Read that carefully. Rakeback reduces the rate at which you lose money. It does not create an edge, it does not make a losing strategy profitable, and it is not free money. If you bet at a 5 percent margin and receive 10 percent of the house edge back, your effective margin drops to roughly 4.5 percent. That is a real improvement — not a route to profit.

  • Rakeback: 5–30 percent of house edge, depending on loyalty tier. The headline “up to 25 percent” is the ceiling at high tiers, not the rate a new account receives.
  • Welcome Package: up to $2,500 in cash rewards across your first 30 days — starting at 10 percent rakeback plus daily cash drops, ending with a Cash Vault release.
  • TURBO: a temporary rakeback boost, up to 50 percent, activatable up to three times daily.
  • Level-up rewards: paid on tier progression, scaling to very large figures at the top of an eight-tier ladder.

Every “up to” figure is tied to volume. The top of the ladder is not a realistic destination for a recreational bettor, and we’d encourage you not to treat it as one.

Platform and Usability

Cloudbet redesigned in 2024 and the current interface is clean and quick. Navigation between sports, casino and esports is straightforward, and the bet slip behaves predictably.

There is no native mobile app on either platform. The mobile site is responsive and covers full functionality, including Bet Builder, so this is a minor complaint rather than a serious one. But it is a real difference from mainstream books — if you want push notifications for price moves or settled bets, you won’t get them here.

Is Cloudbet Safe and Legitimate?

This is the question most people arrive here asking, so we’re going to answer it properly rather than reassuringly.

The licence

Cloudbet holds a direct licence from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, number OGL/2024/328/0599, held by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. (registration number 148526). The licence seal on the site links to a verifiable certificate. Curaçao restructured its licensing regime in 2024, replacing an arrangement where a handful of master licence holders issued sublicences with minimal oversight. A direct CGA licence under the new framework, held by a named entity with a checkable number, is meaningfully stronger than the sublicence setups a lot of crypto gambling still runs on.

The limit: a Curaçao licence gives a player in most of Europe no domestic regulatory recourse. If Cloudbet closes your account and keeps your balance, your national gambling regulator has no jurisdiction. Your options are the operator’s own complaints process and third-party mediators such as Casino Guru or AskGamblers — both with a decent record of getting Cloudbet cases resolved, neither with any enforcement power. This applies to every Curaçao-licensed operator, not just Cloudbet.

What independent assessors say

Casino Guru rates Cloudbet with a Safety Index of 9.2, describing a low volume of disputed winnings relative to the operator’s size, no listing on relevant blacklists, and no unfair or predatory clauses found in its terms. That’s a strong independent signal from an assessor not paid by the operator.

The complaint record, and what causes it

Cloudbet has complaints — every operator of this size and age does. What matters is the pattern:

  1. Verification requested below the documented threshold. The most common pattern. Players who expected no verification below $2,200 have been asked for documents at much lower amounts, with accounts locked while the review ran. Most resolve; the frustration is the gap between the published rule and the applied practice.
  2. Geo-restriction enforcement after deposit. The most serious pattern. Players who registered from a restricted jurisdiction, including via VPN, have had accounts closed and balances frozen — in at least one case after a previously successful withdrawal. Be blunt with yourself here: if you’re in a country Cloudbet doesn’t accept, don’t try to get around it. Check the restricted list before you deposit and take it at face value.
  3. Integrity review holds. Rarer, but there is at least one documented case of an account restricted pending a betting-integrity review the operator said could take up to six months. An uncommon outcome, but a real tail risk.
  4. Withdrawal delays against a fast-payout claim. Occasional, usually technical, generally resolved once escalated. Payout speed is genuinely good, but “90 percent under two minutes” means one in ten takes longer.

The honest summary: Cloudbet is not a scam. It’s a long-established operator with a verifiable licence, strong independent safety ratings, fast payouts in the large majority of cases, and a complaints process that generally works. The genuine risks are unexpected verification, severe and retroactive geo-restriction enforcement, and no regulator standing behind you. Size your balance with those three things in mind.

The Casino

Cloudbet runs a large casino alongside the sportsbook: over 3,000 slots and table games from 200+ studios including Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, Nolimit City, Play’n GO, NetEnt and Microgaming, plus 300+ live dealer tables. Cloudbet Originals are in-house, provably-fair games (Dice Golden Ticket, Wheel, Diamonds) where you can independently verify each result using the server seed, client seed and nonce. We’re a football site — the casino isn’t why we rate this operator, but readers ask, so it’s covered.

Features Built for High-Stakes Players

Whale Mode automates the execution of very large positions in one workflow instead of many sequential manual bets, on no-limit markets. The VIP Club is an invite-only, eight-tier programme (Bronze to Blue Diamond) with escalating rakeback, dedicated account management, custom limits, priority withdrawals and event hospitality. Both are aimed at high-volume players; if you’re betting recreational stakes on football, neither should factor into your decision.

Cloudbet Academy

Launched in 2025, Cloudbet Academy is a free education platform covering betting strategy and analytics, crypto betting basics, sports betting fundamentals and a World Cup 2026 guide. No account is needed. The content is decent and genuinely free — it’s also an acquisition funnel: completing a course quiz earns a promo code redeemable for Welcome Package rewards. Both things are true at once. Use the courses if they’re useful, and recognise what the promo codes are for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cloudbet legit?

Yes. Cloudbet has operated since 2013 under a direct Curaçao Gaming Authority licence, number OGL/2024/328/0599, and holds a high independent safety rating from Casino Guru with no blacklist listings. It is a genuine operator, though a Curaçao licence offers no recourse through your national regulator.

Is Cloudbet safe to use?

It is safe in the sense that it pays out reliably and has a long track record. The real risks are discretionary verification requests, strict geo-restriction enforcement, and the absence of a regulator you can appeal to if a dispute goes badly.

Which countries cannot use Cloudbet?

The restricted list includes the UK, USA, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Singapore, China and others. Attempting to access from a restricted country risks permanent loss of your balance.

Does Cloudbet require KYC?

Documented policy requires verification above $2,200 in cumulative deposits. In practice, Cloudbet can request verification at any point and at any amount. Have identification ready before you deposit.

How fast are Cloudbet withdrawals?

Cloudbet states 90 percent complete in under two minutes. You must confirm each withdrawal by email before it processes, and your chosen network affects settlement speed.

Which cryptocurrencies does Cloudbet accept?

Over 30, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, USDC, Litecoin, Solana, Tron, XRP, Dogecoin and Bitcoin Cash, across networks including Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Polygon, Base and Avalanche.

Can I buy crypto directly on Cloudbet?

Yes. Cloudbet integrates Swapped.com, so you can buy crypto on the platform without using a separate exchange first.

How does the Welcome Package work?

You earn up to $2,500 in cash rewards across your first 30 days, built from rakeback on your bets plus daily cash drops, released as a Cash Vault at the end of the period. There is no rollover requirement. The $2,500 is a ceiling tied to turnover, not a typical outcome.

What is rakeback and is it worth having?

Rakeback returns a share of the house edge to you as withdrawable cash, win or lose. It reduces how quickly you lose money over time. It does not create an edge or make betting profitable, and no rakeback rate turns a losing approach into a winning one.

Does Cloudbet cover lower-tier football leagues?

Yes, extensively. We have found all of the games we publish predictions for offered on Cloudbet.

What is Bet Builder and which leagues does it cover?

Bet Builder is Cloudbet’s same-game parlay tool, launched in July 2025, combining two or more markets from one fixture with live repricing. Operator materials list top-flight competitions, so coverage on secondary leagues is limited.

Verdict

Cloudbet scores 9.2 as a fast, competitively priced crypto sportsbook with genuine football depth. The strengths are thirteen years of continuous operation, a direct Curaçao Gaming Authority licence under the stricter post-2024 regime, competitive margins, payouts measured in minutes, and an all-cash rewards programme with no rollover attached — a real improvement on how most of the industry structures bonuses.
